James Brewer is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and the Founder and CEO of Fourquoia Asset Management, Inc. His private companies own and operate a 39 unit multifamily asset in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they seek to scale with additional multifamily assets for long term hold while vertically integrating asset management, property management, and construction operations. He is also a Founding Partner of SCALE | CRE, a Co-General Partner in Class A and B multifamily assets in South Dakota and Utah totaling 321 units. Mr. Brewer holds a Certificate in Energy Innovation from Stanford, a Master’s degree from Georgetown, and a Bachelor’s from The Citadel.

Prior to his experience in commercial real estate, he proudly served more than 21 years in the United States Marine Corps, commanding units of 100+ Marines, and deploying in combat and across the globe. He currently holds the rank of Major and serves as the Assistant Chief of Staff  for Communications at Headquarters Marine Corps Reserves in New Orleans, Louisiana.   

James has an enormous passion for mentoring and educating others, and is focused on giving back to our Veterans through the forming of SCALE | CRE FOUNDATION, a Veteran and commercial real estate focused non-profit set to launch mid-2024. In his civilian capacity, James co-founded the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program (a DoD SkillBridge Program) for his large software company in 2019. Their mission was to assist Active Service Members in their transition from Active Duty to the Civilian corporate world with a focus on opportunities within the software industry. His efforts through the Foundation will replicate that success in commercial real estate. 

James currently lives in San Diego, California with his wife Jennifer and four children.

Juan E. Rose, III is a Founding Partner of SCALE | CRE and a native of Los Angeles, California. He is proud to be the Founder of Fespina Rose Group, Inc., focusing on commercial real estate investments, management, and consulting.

Mr. Rose’s professional experience includes over 20 years of finance, operations, and leadership within the the public and private sectors. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director of San Diego’s Property Management Division responsible for 12 Million Square Feet of Commercial Assets. Prior to that Juan was Director of CBRE’s Los Angeles/Inland Empire Regions managing a portfolio of 9 Million Square Feet Class A/B Office and Industrial assets. On behalf of their mutual clients, Mr. Rose led portfolio operations to exceed revenue targets, minimize operating expenses, all while elevating the tenant experience at each property managed. Proudly, while being of service to the City of Los Angeles in 2015, Mr. Rose led operations over the $100 million Emergency Response and Restoration project, in which the City of Los Angeles, recognized Mr. Rose’s team as the “Global Outstanding Property Management Team of the Year”. 

Juan also currently serves as a Financial Management Officer and Civil Affairs Officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, previously overseeing Emergency Operations for Marine Corps Installations in the western United States. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his military tenure, Mr. Rose established himself as a subject matter expert in defense financial management. As an agent of the U.S. Treasury, he personally managed over $55 million in cash, and over $300 million in public funds and real estate assets abroad. 

Mr. Rose is an energetic leader with the innate ability to adapt, build trust, and forge relationships in highly kinetic environments – he never compromises safety or ethics. He has global experience in business development experience organizing and managing large teams of cross-functional direct reports. Juan was integral in starting the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program at CBRE in 2019. Giving back to his fellow Service Members and the Community are at his core, faith, family and fun is his mantra.

Miles Tiglao is a Founding Partner of SCALE | CRE and a seasoned technology professional with over 25 years of Information Technology industry experience and over 20 years in leadership experience of up to 200 personnel.

He developed a passion for real estate investing since 2005. He amassed a personal portfolio of 45+ doors in Single-Family and Multi-Family Rentals throughout Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Iowa, and Florida.  He is also a Class A Limited Partner investor in real estate syndications in Florida and Arizona for an additional 280+ doors.

He also has a passion for service from his 23 years as a United States Marine, retiring at the rank of Major. He continues his passion today as an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America, and also as a founding member of his company’s Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program for veterans.

Miles is married and has two boy-girl twins. His big “why” in seeking financial freedom is the ability to spend more time with his family, travel, and serve in ministries overseas.

Jose Valentin is a Founding Partner of SCALE | CRE and native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in aerodynamics and propulsion. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Prior to commercial real estate, he served over 15 years in the United States Marine Corps and is currently a Major and Department Head at Marine Light Attack Helicipter Squadron 775, where he also serves as a standardization flight officer and Weapons and Tactics Instructor.

Driven by the purposeful application of technology and mathematics towards accretive social impact, Jose also leads strategic partnerships as an executive at a software company in the AI software space. As part of his non-profit initiatives, Jose sits on the board of Homes4Families whose mission is to help veterans build resiliency and move up the economic social ladder through home ownership. 

Growing up in Miami, Florida, Jose learned the importance of diversity and inclusivity and the challenges underserved communities face in pursuit of access to credit and financial freedom; having an impact in that space has remained a consistent area of passion for him.

Jose lives in Murrieta, California where he enjoys traveling and staying active with his family and friends.
